Our Mission
Veterans Upward Bound is a FREE program serving veterans who need to strengthen their academic skills in preparation to attend a college or university. The VUB program provides a unique pre-collegiate experience that is designed to assist veterans, providing transition services, academic instruction, and advisement in college admissions and financial aid.
Our Sites
VUB Colorado has three permanent sites in Southern Colorado. However, we are unique in that we are here for you regardless of your educational goals or preferred school. No matter what office you visit, your goals will come first and we will help you get there. Click on a link below to contact us.
Our office at Pikes Peak State College in Colorado Springs is strategically located within the Military and Veterans Programs Office on the Centennial Campus near Ft. Carson. PPSC has one of the largest Veteran and military populations in Colorado and our VUB office and staff provide unique insight to the campus and higher education.
Our office at Pueblo Community College has a great location within the Veterans Lounge. A great place to hang out, meet other veterans and learn about various resources our office is ready to serve you!
Our office at Colorado State University Pueblo is conveniently located in the center of campus on the 3rd floor of the campus library. Equipped with a full computer lab, big screen TV, refrigerator with snacks and free printing, it's a great place to hang out!
Through a fantastic partnership with Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center in Colorado Springs, we have regular office hours every week. As one of a variety of resources, VUB staff is available at the center every Tuesday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm. We are also available throughout the week by appointment. Let us know how we can help you!
Program Funding
VUB Colorado is part of the TRIO family of programs funded by a grant from the Department of Education and is proudly hosted by Colorado State University Pueblo.
